The students will each be getting a slip of paper with a couple sentences and a number on it. These slips of paper make up an article about the Progressive Era. The student who has a “#1” on their slip of paper will read their sentence(s) first. The student who has “#2” will then read their sentence(s) and so on. After about every paragraph, the teacher will stop to have a class discussion about what the students read. After everyone has read, the class will have a final discussion to share if they have any questions about what they learned about the Progressive Era during these readings.
